About Us

The Child Health Research Office (CHRO) incorporates all research that is currently being done within the Child Health Program of the Calgary Health Region and the University of Calgary . Members may or may not belong to specific research groups or units at the University of Calgary . The Office is responsible for overall coordination of research activities, facilitation, setting of research agenda and the administration of budgets for the various research programs funded by the Alberta Children's Hospital Foundation (research grants, research travel grants, research fellowships).

The Child Health Research Office is committed to excellence in multidisciplinary research. Collaboration across disciplines, researchers and research centres fosters innovative research that results in greater knowledge. Knowledge is then applied to improve the health and well being of children and their families.
